The Grizzly is the newest addition to the Woodland Valley courses. Opened in the summer of 2007 after a year and a half of planning and development the Grizzly took the difficulty level of Maine disc golfing up a significant notch. Wrapping through over 20 acres of forest and hidden pastures the Grizzly introduces technical difficulty that has received rave reviews and praise from professional players throughout the Northeast. In the spirit of the Black Bear, the natural elevation changes were leveraged heavily but unlike the Black Bear, the baskets are anywhere but where you'd like them to be placed. Shots include fairways that extend for 100 feet before making a drastic swing of over 100 degrees with trees in your way the entire time and baskets positioned behind a series of trees requiring a strategic approach or incredibly lucky shot.

We take great pride in the work done on the Grizzly and appreciate the feedback given from our players. In the spirit of making the best course possible the Grizzly will continue to evolve over the next year. If you have any ideas we'd love to hear them.
