Woodland Valley Disc Golf is Southern Maine's premiere disc golf course. Currently consisting of 36 holes with plans to expand to 54 covering 120 acres, a clubhouse and pro-shop constantly stocked with every disc manufactured by major disc golf companies and plenty of free parking. Come enjoy the great outdoors playing one of the fastest growing sports in the country. We carry over 5,000 discs and are the only one who allow, as far as I know, people to try discs out on the big field for hole 1 of the Grizzly before they purchase a disc. If you ding it up you must purchase it (that usually happens when people throw it downhill into the parking lot). We want you to be sure that a disc does what you expect it to before purchasing. Our next Tournament is the our 6th annual Ice Bowl on Sunday, February 19, 2012. You may preregister at woodlandvalleydiscgolf.com, by emailing Linda at

, or calling 207-229-9825. Please let me know which division you will be playing. Tournament will be held rain or shine. Event starts at 10 am. You must sign in by 9:30. If you are running late, please call to let us know. Fees are: $9.10 for the disc (we have champion Beasts, Z Buzz, and Z Nuke), $4.90 green fee (all of which is donated to the food pantry), your division payout fee, and the optional Ace Pot ($5.00) and CTP ($1). This is a fundraising tournament for the local food pantry. We will be accepting, and appreciate, food and cash donations. The Wednesday Random Doubles League ended its season. We will start up again once the days become longer in the spring. This league is held every Wed. night as soon as people can fit a round in after work and before dark, usually in early spring. The cost is $11 ($5 green fee, $1 ace pot, and $5 payout). There is no set amount of dates required. I compute everyones' handicap and divide the players into 2 groups, the first those with high handicaps and the other those with low handicaps. The teams are randomly draw, one from each group, so that everyone has a fair chance winning the cash payout. If no one gets an ace it rolls over until someone gets one. The weekend league started the weekend of November 12 and continue for 19 weeks (I added 3 extra weeks to accomadate the holidays and weather impaired weekends) , of which you must play a minimum of 8. Our weekend consists of Friday through Monday. You may play any time, but must play with someone else in league and turn in your score card. Cost is $5 green fee, $1 CTP (of which there are 2 each week), $1 Ace Pot, and $1 for the end of the season playoff. Points are awarded based on how you performed and the total points are then used to place you in a bracket for the playoff. It is a match play off using handicaps from the series. Play offs will be the first weekend in March at which time we will start the 16 week winter/spring league. |
